Barcelona: a city where it is hard to get bored

Barcelona is the third most popular tourist city in the world thanks to its architecture, entertainment, shopping, atmosphere and especially its nightlife. It is very easy to get around the city thanks to its structure and location between mountain and sea. But still need to know where to go! Whether certain activities are a must in the city such as the Sagrada Familia and Park Guell, one of the treasures of the city is that each district has its own atmosphere and its own entertainment.

In Barcelona, there are iconic places to see. Las Ramblas, where you can enjoy the street performers, restaurants and enjoy the walk along the magnificent building architecture. A not to be missed in the neighborhood la Boqueria, the largest market in Barcelona full of treasures of Catalan cuisine. The Gothic Quarter is in my opinion the most impressive part of the city. This is the "old" Barcelona, lively even at night. We like to walk around this magnificent area where there is the Gothic cathedral, the beautiful Plaça Reial and many shops. At the heart of this district, you will find an amazing home to a cloister garden and geese.
Barceloneta is one of Barcelona's most popular thanks to its Mediterranean beach neighborhoods. However attention this beach is not for you if you like the quiet: the beach is flooded with tourists vendors drinks, beach towels, offer tattoos, massages etc. It is very pleasant to walk along the beach and shops to the Olympic Port, but also in small alleys. Other attractions of the city, the Sagrada Familia, located in the Eixample district filled with art shops as well as bars and restaurants. Also in the Eixample you will find the famous Passeig de Gracia with its luxury boutiques, home of Gaudi and fountains leading to the Plaça Catalunya. If you like Gaudi, you can not miss the Guell Park in the hills above the city, in the district of Gracia.
For those who like to party, Vila Olimpica neighborhood is unmistakable with its many nightclubs for all tastes and casino. Do not forget to go over to Sants visit Camp Nou for football fans, or admire the spectacle of magic fountains, absolutely stunning and original. Other places and events are less well known but equally fascinating Gracia Fiesta Fiesta mayor Mayor Go Car Poble Español First, the city offers fantastic views. The best known is the Montjuic hill which overlooks both the city but also of the harbor and the sea. However, other places offer magnificent views as the Tibidabo, overlooking Barcelona where you can also visit church of the Sacred Heart or enjoy the amusement park. In the shopping center Las Arenas in Plaça Espanya, you can go on the roof to enjoy the view of the whole city.

A local festivals not to be missed is the festival of Gracia. This area is worth visiting, it is completely representative of Barcelona with its streets and lively squares. The festival begins Gracia 15 August and lasts a week. The residents then turn the streets in a decorating theme. The decorations are made from recycled by residents and families equipment. Each year, the selected themes are different and there is a competition to elect the most beautiful street. A total of 18 streets and squares are decorated in this way. Among the themes present, the sea, fruit, Mexican, oriental theme, fairy etc. One can also enjoy plenty of entertainment such as tanks, typically Catalan dances, concerts, parades of giants, dragons. There is also the famous castellers, human towers several floors. A typical animation of this party is a group of men dressed as demons manipulate fire and paraded through the streets accompanied by drums. It is an event that I recommend to everyone, very original and impressive to see. The best option is to go to the dark to enjoy the illuminations. The rest of the city also have their block party but that of Garcia remains the most successful. Poble Nou, less touristy also offers quieter as many lesser-known tourist beaches and a pretty nice atmosphere, especially on the Rambla de Poble Nou. As to Montjuic, known for the Olympic Stadium, I suggest you go to the Poble Espanol, a reconstruction of typical places of the country. It is beautiful and the place is run by some evening broadcasts concerts or movies. The atmosphere is very nice. Finally, an original way to visit Barcelona I suggest you go rent a car, small yellow and open cars. So you can explore the city with the proposed route (Gaudi Tour, beaches ...) and guided or create your own itinerary. Some courses allow you to do activities such as jet skiing. This is a good time to share with friends.
